POM Strategy Tour 2024 to Innsbruck
The POM Team just returned from an exciting and inspiring strategy tour to Innsbruck, Austria. We visited Swarovski and Leitner factories and discussed academic writing - besides exploring Innsbruck and sampling the Austrian cuisine.
Among many highlights, we visited the skijump hill Bergisel for discussions on academic writing. We also discussed how new doctoral students can navigate the POM journal landscape - from industrial engineering to general management - and conversations between authors and reviewers.
As we usually do, we also visited factories. The first visit went to Leitner in Telfs, which produces ropeways and related products for alpine winter sports. The grand finale was at Swarovski’s crystal factory in Wattens. We thank Leitner and Swarovski for welcoming us to their facilities.
